👋🏽 Bye Bye to Social Media for Kids: Australia became the first country to ban social media for kiddos under 16. It’s a move welcomed by lots of parents and child advocates as decades of research have shown that early access to cell phones and, MORE importantly, social media has a HUGE impact on children’s mental health. Some say it’s an infringement on personal speech. Others say it can help battle depression, substance abuse, and other severe mental issues down the road.

Last week, we covered a topic that is getting lots of coverage - ADHD in preschoolers. We know that more and more children are being diagnosed. But this can be hard to manage in a center. Not just for how we can make it better for the kids, but how we can help parents who are learning how to work with this. As ECE leaders, we manage two sets of expectations.

The midnight raid, popularly known as the “Boston Tea Party,” was in protest of the British Parliament’s Tea Act of 1773. It was one of the actions that led to the American Revolutionary War. 🇺🇸
